Transiting to Spring

Hey guys!

I know we are currently in the midst of a pandemic; however, instead of continuing to dwell on COVID-19, I have chosen to stay informed about the situation but not be consumed by it (hence this post). I have told many people that I am not living in fear, but I am still taking the necessary precautions to avoid spreading the virus. I hope you all are doing the same.

To the people on the frontlines, risking their lives for our safety, we appreciate you and I pray that God continues to protect you. To the rest of you all who are not on the frontlines, do us a favor and stay home. This season, too, shall pass. That’s all I’ve got for you this week on COVID-19 –  you can refer to my previous post about it.

Today I want to focus on my monthly post about fashion! I don’t know about you, but I have vacation, spring time and summer time on my mind. So, I have three outfits that show my transition from winter to spring. I hope you enjoy them, and I hope that very soon we will all be able to lay out on the beach. I am so ready. LOL

Faux Leather Dress

I have had this little faux leather dress in my closet since September of last year and so far, I haven’t had for the right opportunity to wear it. Well, here we go! I chose this outfit to begin with because as you can see below, you can wear this in the winter time (with some tights, of course) and then change the top (and take the tights off) and you have a whole new look that can be worn in the spring or even summer.

Pink Piet Top

I purchased this fun top from a Nigerian clothing store called Peridot. I met Lola, the designer, a few years back when she designed and made bridesmaids’ dresses for a wedding I was in. She is one of the sweetest people I met in Nigeria, so, when she opened her ready-to-wear clothing store, I had to find a way to get my hands on something! This top caught my eye – I love the sheer material; it makes it flirty and sexy at the same time. This top could be worn with pants or a skirt, but I chose to pair it with some high-waisted shorts because summer time is on my mind.

Nude Dress

This sexy dress is from Zara! I don’t have much to say about this dress, I just want to wear it somewhere very soon!

I hope you guys take care.

Till next time.

Love always,

Shayo
